How to Measure?
Shoulder
Standing with your back straight, measure across your upper back from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other. This measurement is easier with the help of a friend.
Chest
Measure around your torso directly above your bust.
Bust
With arms relaxed at your sides, wearing your usual bra, measure your bust at the fullest point. Keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor. Measure across both nipples, under your armholes, over your shoulder blades, and around your back across your bra strap.
Under Bust
Measure around your torso directly beneath your bust.
Waist
Keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor, measure around the narrowest part of your natural waistline. To find your natural waistline, bend to one side. There will usually be a crease where you bend just below your ribcage. Don't worry if this seems higher than where you wear your pants and jeans. This is your natural waistline and is a measurement that's important for a great fit.
Wearing Waist
Measure around your waist where you wear your pants and jeans.
Upper Arm
Place the tape measure around the widest part of your upper arm, your bicep. Then bend your arm slightly at the elbow. Use the measurement you get when your elbow is bent. This will ensure the best, most comfortable fit.
Hip
Standing with heels together, measure around your body at the broadest part of your hips (approximately 8 inches below your natural waistline). This will include the fullest part of your backside and should be just about where your legs meet your torso.
Total Rise
Standing upright, position the measuring tape vertically starting at the center of your back right at your wearing waist. Pass the tape between your legs and bring it forward to the middle front of your wearing waist. Be sure the tape isn't too tight or too loose.
Hip at Crotch
Measure around your body at the lowest point of your hips, where they meet your thighs.
Thigh
Measure around the fullest part of one thigh. And yes, you get to choose which thigh.
Calf
Measure around the fullest part of one calf.
Inseam
Measure the length of your inner leg from your crotch to your ankle.
Outseam
Measure straight from your wearing waistline to your ankle.
HPS to Bust Point
Measure starting where your shoulder meets your neck down along the front of your body to the tip (apex) of your bust.
HPS to Waist
For this measurement, it's best to mark your natural waistline (the narrowest part of the waistline) with a ribbon, string, or skinny belt. Start measuring from where your shoulder meets your neck. Continue measuring down along the curve of your front to the marker at your natural waist. This measurement is easier with the help of a friend.
HPS to Knee
Measure starting where your shoulder meets your neck. Continue measuring down following along the curve of your front to your natural waistline then down along to your knee. This measurement is easier with the help of a friend.
